Tangible Solutions for a Changing Climate

At Climate Disaster Foundation, we believe in action that delivers real results. Our projects are designed to build climate resilience, support vulnerable communities, and drive systemic change where it’s needed most. From disaster response to sustainable development, each initiative reflects our commitment to long-term impact.

Project 1: Greener Cities, Healthier Lives Initiative

Location: Nigeria (Lagos), UK (Manchester), Philippines (Manila)
Duration: 18-month implementation across all three cities.

In fast-growing urban centres vulnerable to extreme heat and pollution, this project focused on revitalising neglected spaces through sustainable urban greening. By working with local governments, environmental groups, and volunteers, we transformed empty lots into community parks, tree-lined pathways, and eco-education zones.

Key Impact: 15,000+ trees planted, 200+ youth trained in green jobs, Average surface temperature in target areas reduced by 3°C

Project 2: Climate-Ready Communities Programme

Location: Kenya (Kisumu) and Uganda (Gulu)
Duration: 24-month capacity-building and adaptation programme

Rural communities in East Africa are experiencing unpredictable rainfall, droughts, and declining crop yields. This project provided smallholder farmers with training in climate-smart agriculture, built solar-powered water systems, and supported women-led resilience hubs.

Key Impact: 12 solar water systems installed, 5,000+ households reached with climate adaptation tools, 150 women trained as local climate champions

Project 3: Cyclone Idai Emergency & Recovery Programme

Location: Mozambique (Beira) and Zimbabwe (Chimanimani)
Duration: 16-month programme (4-month emergency, 12-month recovery)

Following the catastrophic Cyclone Idai, we launched a rapid response to deliver emergency aid and a long-term recovery programme focused on rebuilding stronger. Our efforts included distributing relief kits, constructing flood-resilient shelters, and training local builders in sustainable construction techniques.

Key Impact: 10,000+ emergency aid kits delivered, 4 community shelters constructed, Local capacity enhanced for future disaster resilience

Together, We Make Change Possible

Our projects are more than one-time interventions — they are part of a global effort to secure a climate-resilient future. Every tree planted, every policy influenced, and every life touched brings us one step closer.
